Too many we are guessing. We also come from a background of running a laser cutting shop - so we feel your pain. That's why this area is the first target for our automatic quotation platform.
No matter what kind of strange format your customer sends you, we can pretty much handle it. We can take svg, pdf, ai, cdr, eps, ps, hpgl, plt, dxf and dwg.
By using the vector picker tool, there is no need to start up your love-it-or-hate-it CAD package to view your customer's files. You just bring it up straight in your browser. It's good at one thing: Extracting what you care about in the drawing - Cutting, engraving and scoring.
You can show and hide vectors depending on color, stroke thickness, fill and more. You can also hide and show by layer, when uploading formats that support them.
Doesn't it seem way more professional to get a PDF quote, rather than a simple e-mail? Well, with Smidyo, it's effortless. With one click, you can generate a PDF document from a template that you can supply from Google Docs, or Word.
Our quotation system is very modular and industry agnostic. So if you have special requirements for your quotation process, there's a big chance you'll be able to implement it right away, or in a future release of Smidyo.
In order to make it as easy as possible to set up quote calculation for laser cutting and - engraving, we've created a wizard where all you have to do is fill in what you charge and information about your laser machine, and we set up the rest.
Take your quote calculation on the go with Smidyo. We've designed everything to be just as accessible on the phone as on the desktop. Good for those crazy deadlines!
Because we are still working on Smidyo, you can now get the Laser cutting and -engraving quotation functionality for a reduced monthly price: 49,00 € / month (incl. 24% VAT). This is only valid while it's still in it's beta version. We'll let you know well in advance before we release the full version!
You can start using it immediately by registering through the registration page linked below. If you have any questions, want a demo, or need any help with setting up - just drop us a line.
