Our core business is centered around providing software developers an easy-to-use service to handle complex vector-based files, widely used in CAD, engineering and manufacturing industries among others. With the ever-increasing digitalization within these industries, we strongly believe that there will be an ever-larger market for our solution, especially within B2B e-commerce and cloud-based apps.
With this, we are pleased to announce that Vector Express’ parent company, Exact Realty, has joined the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Founded in 1994, the W3C is the main international standard organization for the web, and it has been under its auspices that the SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) format was developed.
Since our service relies on correctly understanding and processing files in various formats, we understand the importance of well-defined and open standards to ensure interoperability among vendors. As one of the major uses for our service is to convert to and from SVG files, we are excited to be able to use our experience from building our platform to enhance the quality of specifications such as SVG and this way deliver even better solutions that fulfill the needs of developers worldwide.

“I’ve been involved with developing and improving Vector Express for much of its history and can see how much value it brings to developers because of all the formats it can handle and how it simplifies conversion that normally is an unreliable process with many edge cases. Standards are critical for tools like Vector Express to function properly, and I’m excited to be able to bring my experience with the platform to standards’ discussions.” Ricardo Parra
